    Business Development Manager

    Our client, a growing IT support company is looking for a creative, vibrant individual for the business development managerial job for their Nairobi office.

     

    Summary:

    The individual will be responsible for facilitating the generation of growth and revenue of the organization by developing strategies for the assigned sales team, mobilizing and motivating the team and also by putting in individual effort into realizing the company goals.

    Duties:

    ·         Generating revenue for the company by developing and maintaining income generating strategies and ensuring the team meets set sales targets.

    ·         Developing and building a client base utilizing proven sales techniques.

    ·         Developing sales strategies that will lead to revenue generation for the organization.

    ·         Develop and put in strategies to manage an online shopping site that will involve daily deals, advertisements.

    ·         Bring in new strategies on how to build in a new business to achieve more revenues.

    ·         Package the various products in a way that the sales team can sell to the clients.

    ·         Formulating client proposals that offer tailor- made solutions for them.

    ·         Gathering market intelligence.

    ·         Recruiting, training, motivating and leading team members into successful implementation of business strategies.

    ·         Supervising and monitoring team performance;

    ·         Offering leadership to the sales teams day-to-day activities

    ·         Ensuring high quality customer service;

    ·         Planning advertising services and securing information on equipment and customer specifications.

    ·         Advising consultants, dealers and distributors on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business.

     

    Qualifications and experience:

    ·         A first degree in Commerce or Business related discipline & proficiency in computer packages.

    ·         Post graduate qualification in business related field is an added advantage.

    ·         Minimum 5 years sales experience with at least 1year Managerial experience.

    ·         Experience in leading a team of sales executives.

    ·         Understanding of branding and marketing principles.

    ·         Possess exceptional proven presentation, communication and marketing skills.

    ·         Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

    ·         Drive, energy and results oriented.

    ·         Ability to work under pressure, priorities work, meet tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision
