Job Title: Manager External Service Level Management
Description

 Our client, a leading telecommunication inflastructure Company in Uganda is seeking to hire a competent Ugandan to Ensure Effective & Efficient operations and  Maintenance activities for the External Service Level Management Function , realizing value for money and Assuring Availability for all installed ATC   infrastructure to perform the desired business services.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

1.       To initiate and follow through actions required to achieve, improve or maintain the agreed infrastructure service levels within budget, time and quality.

2.       To ensure operational requirements of all Company installed infrastructure met and maintained.

3.       To ensure that Monitoring, Measurement, Reporting and Evaluation of the Service Level Agreement KPIs are done to achieve value for money. The KPIs include target TTR, MTTR, MTBF, MTBSI.

4.       To implement and maintain the SLM process to continuously improve the Company infrastructure services to the customers and achieve desired targets.

5.       To constantly research, identify and implement processes as well as recommend tools required to enhance efficiencies of the regional maintenance operations. To ensure routine inspections, necessary corrective/preventative actions are executed in an effective & timely manner, so as to achieve the planned infrastructure life time.

6.       To Design and review Maintenance routines and procedures within the SLM maintenance function to achieve desired effectiveness and efficiency.

7.       To ensure development and maintenance of accurate records for the entire infrastructure.

8.       Routinely review the installed insfrasture and timely produce swapout plans and budget for the replacement of equipment that is due.

9.       Timely submissions of management reports and follow up on action points.

10.   To verify and reconcile all contractor invoices so that payments are made correctly against mtce works executed.

11.   To negotiate, agree, maintain and regularly review the SLAs and OLAs with the external service providers/contractors to ensure effective service delivery.

12.   To ensure on-site liaison is done with maintenance contractors at the regional and central levels whenever necessary.

 

OTHER:

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides leadership and support for all Regional supervisors and external maintenance contractor’s activities and any other assigned personnel as and when assigned/Necessary.

 

QUALIFICATIONS&  SKILLS/ABILITIES :

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Very good leadership and management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a team player.

·         Ability to Work independently with very minimal supervision.

  • Ability to drive long distances and must have a 2 year valid driving license
  • Ability to work extended hours to complete tasks..
  • EHS training and awareness.
  • Very good Decision making & Problem solving skills
  • Operation & Maintenance Training in Diesel generator power systems.
  • Service delivery & support Processes training (Service level Management, Availability management, Capacity Management, Finance Management ,Incident management, problem management, continuity management processes)

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Degree certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/telecommunications Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • A Masters Degree certificate in Business Administration /Management Training will be an added advantage.
  • At least 4 years Experience in SLM activities.
  • At least 3 years experience in contractor management in a telecommunication or related industry. 

ENVIRONMENT:

35% of activities performed in the field and 65% in the internal office environment working under normal office conditions. 

May require to routinely travel to the regions in support of the position’s responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
