SUMMARY:
The Financial Reporting manager will be responsible for the completion of a variety of reporting functions including the preparation of monthly variance analyses, drafting and coordinating analytical reports provided to senior management in Uganda, EMEA and US Corporate including short term cash flow forecasts. Responsibility for the preparation of periodic forecasts, the company’s annual budget and 5-year strategic plan the preparation of financial and statistical information to support the production of site profitability statements. Ensure that as new Finance processes are developed and implemented the reporting framework is consistent with the requirements of IFRS and GAAP. Become a finance lead in the rollout of Oracle Financials to ensure successful and timely completion of the project.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Ensure all internal reporting requirements, including group schedules are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with all reporting standards and company accounting policies.
· Coordinate and prepare review materials for senior management on periodic results and forecasts.
· Work with differing functions to prepare variance explanation reports during the monthly accounting close process.
· Prepare reports and comment upon trends and the profitability of sites within the portfolio, including recommendations to improve site profitability.
· Prepare and coordinate monthly and quarterly financial and analytical reports.
· Conduct analysis and create financial models, primarily on an ad hoc basis, for senior management.
· Use creativity to illustrate complex business decisions in financial models.
· Develop and maintain cash flow forecast process and monitor working capital requirements to ensure they are kept to a minimum.
· Preparation of financial reports, schedules and supporting account analysis for our internal tax department, investor relations department, and internal and external auditors.
· Assist with special projects as required by management to support ongoing needs of business.
· Prepare statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Strong finance skill set with a detailed understanding of IFRS and GAAP requirements.
· Solid project analysis skills including understanding of discounted cash flows, NPVs, and IRRs
· Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization, including senior management
· Large experience of ERP systems, Oracle knowledge preferred
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
· Creative analytical thinker with the ability to solve problems
· Ability to exercise independent discretion on matters of significance
· Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
· Detail oriented
· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly learn other software tools
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Member of professional account body
· Bachelor’s degree required
· 5 years of experience in a business environment in a financial planning or financial reporting role
· 1-3 years supervisory experience
· Accounting knowledge of income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows required
· Experience with Oracle essential
