Summary

Our client, a large multi- disciplined construction company having a fully fledged functional base in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia, is looking to recruit a Materials Engineer to work in their Uganda office.

JOB PURPOSE .

To Ensure the Project  materials and execution conform to QSHE  and operational performance standards strictly as per the technical specifications and contract agreements.

GENERIC DUTIES.

• Ensures all quality checks/ tests required by the condition of contract documents are fulfilled.
• Advise Procurement Section for ordering right material strictly conforming to the Contractual , Technical requirements of the Project.
• Inspects the materials for consistancy with the specifcation at all stages i.e at source, at the time of receiving , storage and usage as applicable.
• Responsible for preparing necessary material approvals, requests for review by site Agent and onward submission to consultant / client.
• Liaising with Consultans/ Clients in connection with approvals of quality checks in line with Site Agent.
• Complying with all the company QSHE procedures, policies and guidelines.
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Educational Requirements :

• Degree in Engineering or Material Sceince

Professional Training/Qualifications:

• Diploma in Logistics  preferred

Skills Requirement :

• Good communication ,time management skills.

Relevant Work Experience:

• 7 years at least 3 years in a similar  position
