STORES ASSISTANT
Our client, a group of large manufacturing companies with sites across East African region is looking for a qualified individual to fill the position of Stores Assistant for their Uganda office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) General management of the store
b) Ensuring items are well kept in the store so as to avoid damage and wastage
c) Advising on appropriate time to re-order and dispatching materials in good time to avoid spoilage.
d) Keep records of pending local purchase orders.
e) Assisting in stock takes.
f) Order for items and follow pending delivery from suppliers.
g) Follow pending delivery notes to be invoiced.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
a) Bachelors’ degree in a Procurement related course preferred.
b) Minimum of two years experience in a busy manufacturing environment
c) Understanding of suppliers and their various items.
d) Be able to use inventory software as well as good computer skills
WORK ABILITIES:
a) Ability to prioritize work.
b) Maintain good relationships with fellow employees.
c) Work under pressure as well as multi task.
d) Good people skills that assist in clarification as well as conveying information.
e) Loyal and given to detail
