ARCHITECT

Summary

Our client, a fast growing architectural firm in Nairobi is looking to recruit an intelligent and results driven individual to fill in the position of Architect

 Duties and Responsibilities

• Excellent design and drawing skills;
• A strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions;
• Good analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail;
• A keen interest in buildings and the built environment;
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals;
• Good organizational and negotiation skills;
• Strong team working and leadership skills;
• An understanding about the relationship between people, buildings and the wider environment;
• Good mathematical skills;
• Project management skills;
• Excellent IT skills, including computer-aided design skills
• Able to develop ideas with clients, establishing budgets
• Able to assess the needs of buildings and its impact within the local environment.
• Ability to assist with site selection and work closely with contractors on site
• Ensuring that works are carried out to specific standards.
• Ensuring that buildings must be sustainable, functional and aesthetically appealing.

Requirements.

• Degree Architectural design or related field
• Experience of the most current drawing software
• Excellent Computer aided design skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• At least five years experience in a similar position
• Be dedicated with a desire to learn
• Be self-motivated, able to work on your own whilst contributing and working within a team

• Good interpersonal skills
