ASSISTANT HOTEL MANAGER
Applications are invited from qualified persons with proven track record of achievements to work for a new hotel coming up on Lang’ata road, Nairobi and with branches inThika as an assistant hotel manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintaining effective communication between the management and service workers
· Ensuring that staff are working together as a team to ensure optimum service and that guest needs are met.
· Inspecting grooming and attire of staff, and rectifying any deficiencies.
· Inspecting cleanliness of all areas
· Ensuring the maintenance of a certain appearance required by the e.g hotel dress code, policies etc
· Training co-workers in their departments on various issues
· Promoting a helpful and courteous atmosphere to guests and co-workers.
· Ensuring service workers respond to customers promptly and that customer waiting time is minimized
· Addressing complaints from customers and also those from service workers Report important information to the general manager
· Should also have a general interest of working with people in the hotel industry.
· Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
QUALIFICATIONS
· Should have at least a diploma in hotel management or a related field from a reputable institution
· At least five years experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry
